The Urbandale Historical Society

The Urbandale Historical Society was organized in 1975 by a small group of residents and later Incorporated in 1977 to share history and bring people together who are interested in the history of Urbandale, IA.  The society is dedicated to preserving and sharing artifacts and memorabilia from the early foundation of the city of Urbandale to the present day.  We maintain the Olmsted-Urban house, which houses our collection and has been restored to depict the era of the 1920s and early 1930s.
